Are the windows of heaven open?
So, not the typical post, but I am not the "typical" blogger.
I don't blog about my everyday life....everyday....I don't have the time, the mental energy or the desire....BUT, I do enjoy this outlet when I have the opportunity...
I have often wondered if the "windows of heaven" are open for me. I have always paid a full tithe so where are these blessings that 'there are not room enough to receive them'?
...I am not asking for anyone to give me a sermon or comment about my lack of spirituality. I am merely making a statement. I am sure lots of us have wondered the same.
BUT, Wait....
I do see some blessings by my windows...hahaha.
The first blessing?
I AM NOT SICK ANYMORE!!! (well a little lingering cold).....I have been battling a sinus infection for over 3 weeks....way before Christmas! This all started with a visit to a friend's house that owns cats....I had the worse allergic reaction to date..... (Yes I am allergic to those cute, furry creatures...!)It has taken a long time to clear because I don't take ANY meds (well tylenol) when I am breast feeding/pregnant etc....so natural..here we come. My magic genie lamp (as kailey calls it) cleanses my sinus every two hours.... you know one of those "nety pots". It nice to breath again and no pain in the sinus'....a blessing, right? But boy, has it been a rough ride....
Okay, number two...my friend Lisa B calls me up this morning....you know the type...the friend that is trying to get you out of your depression of the holidays without your baby boy Evan, "Hey, you going to Yoga," she's the positive type that assumes that's where I am going...where the only thing on my mind was, YEAH, I don't have to work today and I can go back to sleep and be sad all by myself....(at least while Savannah's sleeping)...She says, "oh I have extra milk and want to bring it over (no this is not extra breast milk!) .....wait a minute Lisa, are you on your way...okay fine! Who can resist milk? And who has extra milk just lying around????? So not only do we go to the gym, (we are late to Yoga , so we use the Ellipticals instead) and then Lisa becomes my personal trainer....she takes me to the free weights and asks me what I want to work on......oh my gosh, how many free weights can one possibly use? I grab the smallest..the 5lb...perfect....
Number 3! So our daughter, Danielle will be going on a field trip with her Safety Patrol troop this summer to Washington D.C. ....it's a school safety thingy...well it costs $500. One cannot pull that amount out of the "window"...I've tried... Well, while in the car with my friend Lisa, a University of Florida person who coordinates you to bring in your baby for "fake" well child visits for Medical students calls and asks to schedule her to bring in her babies...you get paid $40 for a one hour. Pretty good...I schedule Savannah (I used to do these "peds visits" with Evan)...then the lady says there is a study for ages 1-5 and ages 10-18....I sign Danielle and Cameron up! Danielle will make $120 in 3 days! The window is starting to open up! Just $380 to go!
Number 4, I am home, feeling...what's this energized feeling?? You mean I have to work out to get energy??? Who would have thought??? I am not sick, I worked out, and hmmmm energy...
so I get to blog a little, check up on some other blogger people and Savannah is asleep!
Number 5.... the kids are home now! I love my kids so goodbye for now....
I may have to close my 'windows' today because it's freezing in Florida!
